Letters to Santa

Last year we didn't think to write letters to Santa until Christmas Eve day so this year I was determined to do it earlier so "Santa" would have more time to write back. Abbie and Leah were both so excited to tell me what they wanted and to color their letters.

Getting ready to take them out to the mailbox. Leah wasn't too happy about having to put hers in an envelope, I think she wanted to give it to Santa in person.

Which we finally visited at the mall a week later. I was worried about ridiculously long lines and the girls being scared to sit on Santa's lap (like every other year) but when we got there, there was no one else in line so the girls ran up and jumped on his lap and were so excited to tell him what they wanted, before he even got a chance to ask. He did end out asking Abbie a few times what she wanted and by the third time she seemed so exasperated that he couldn't remember or hear her that she practically yelled "A princess piano and My Little Pony!"
