Olivia's blessing day

We blessed Olivia on Sunday and everything went great.  She didn't cry at all during the blessing and when it was over Jared held her up and she smiled at everyone.  She was such a good baby all day and we had lots of family over afterward to eat and chat and celebrate with us.  We are so glad that Olivia is in our family and we love her so much!

Here's the whole Butler family now: Abbie is 7, Leah is 5, Porter is 2 1/2, and Olivia is 2 months old.

Olivia in her beautiful blessing dress.  I made this dress in a sewing class in college and I'm so glad I put all that work into it because we've used it for all three of my girls.

Sticking out her tongue!

Happy smiling baby!

Smiling Olivia

Here is an adorable picture of Olivia from today that I just had to share.  She started smiling a few days ago and it is the cutest thing ever.  It just makes all the sleepless nights, pain, and poopy diapers worth it.  We love our little Olivia!

It's a girl! Introducing Olivia Rose Butler!

We finally had our baby and it's a girl! Olivia Rose Butler was born on March 29th at 4:06 pm.  She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long.  Everything with the labor and delivery went well, I was induced and started pitocin at about 10 am on the 29th and she was born 6 hours later!  I only had to push for a couple minutes so it was much easier than some of the labors with my other kids.  Olivia has lots of black hair and chubby cheeks and she looks a lot like Leah did when she was a newborn.  She eats and sleeps pretty great so far and we just love having her in our family.  All the other kids adore her and have been pretty helpful and nice to her so that's been great.  Here are a bunch of pictures of her and our family over the past two weeks.

Before...me at 39 weeks!

After...Olivia at 39 seconds old!  She weighed exactly the same as Abbie and Leah at birth, 7 lbs 11 oz.  I guess I just make them all the same!

Easter Sunday

I saw these adorable Easter dresses at Sam's Club a month ago and couldn't resist getting them for Abbie and Leah.  I didn't even think about getting a newborn one at the time in case we had a girl so after Olivia was born, I went back to the store and they were all gone.  I then searched high and low online trying to find a matching one for Olivia but they are nowhere to be found.  Bummer!  Luckily, I did have a pink newborn dress that was close enough in color so I put her in that and Porter in an adorable blue vest and got these cute pictures of the kids before church last week.   Didn't they turn out perfect?

What are the chances of getting them all to smile and look at the camera and not have their hands in their faces all at the same time?  Amazing!

Olivia raising her hand as if to say "Don't forget about me!"

Porter is so happy to hold baby Olivia, anytime, any day

Um, I'm not so sure about all this pink, though!
