Merry Christmas from the Butlers!

This will be my last post, I haven't blogged in a long time but I'm finally getting around to making a blog book and want to end with a cute, updated picture of the kids.  It's been fun looking back at past posts and seeing how much our family has changed since 2008 when I started this blog. It's been a great way to document our lives and I'm so glad I'll have it in book form now as a scrapbook and journal.

I can't believe Thomas is 9 months old already!  He's such a cute, happy baby and we just love him so much.  I love how these pictures turned out!

Introducing Thomas William Butler!

He's here! Thomas William Butler was born on Feb. 1, 2015 at 10:10 am.  He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 19 inches long.  Here's some pictures from his first two weeks!

Merry Christmas from the Butlers

We finally got an updated family picture! I found these matching dresses for the girls at a second-hand store and I was so excited that I had to find matching things for the rest of us so we could get a nice Christmas picture this year. It turned out pretty good, don't you think? Abbie is now 10 years old, Leah is 8, Porter is 5, Olivia is 2 1/2 (don't forget the half, she's adamant about that part!), and baby boy Butler is due to arrive on Feb. 6th, 2015!

The above picture shows us on our best behavior which only happens for about 5 seconds a year. This one is more what it's really like most of the time...

And all four kids, being adorable.

Merry Christmas, it's been a great year and I'm looking forward to what 2015 will bring!

I don't know if anyone reads this blog anymore but just in case you do and aren't on Facebook, here's the latest with our family.  Baby #5 will be joining our family on Feb. 6th, 2015!

Family Pictures July 2013

Here's our latest family picture, taken last month during the Call Family Reunion.  Abbie is 8, Leah is 6, Porter is 3, and Olivia is 16 months old.

 

Here's one of the whole family! There are almost 60 of us now!

And the original ten 30 years ago when my youngest sister was born.  Crazy how much we've all changed and grown and added a whole bunch of grandkids!

Here are my babies this past Sunday all dressed up for church.  It was a really hot, sunny day so I thought they would all look cute dressed in matching yellow.  Look how adorable they are!

We just got back from a quick trip to visit Grandma up in Wyoming and the kids had a great time learning how to play the violin and dancing to Grandma's fiddling.  Here they are in action:

Beautiful Butler Babies

I haven't posted anything in a while but I thought I should put up these two cute pictures of the kids recently. Here they are in some matching outfits for church.  Aren't they adorable? Abbie is 8, Leah is 6, Porter is 3, and Olivia is 11 months old. 



 

My pretty girls.  Even though Olivia is almost a year old, they still fight over who gets to hold her and play with her.  I love all my babies!

We are mostly all settled into our new house and it finally feels like home.  We have had a great year and hope that you and your family have had a great one too.

Abbie's baptism day

Abbie was baptized yesterday!  It was a perfect day, Abbie looked beautiful in her dress, the baptism went well, and we had lots of friends and family come to support us on her big day.  I'm so proud of my little girl and her decision to become an official member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

 

Here's Abbie in her new white dress.  I got the dress at Sears last Easter but it didn't have sleeves so I whipped up some for it the other night and they turned out perfect!  It's been a while since I've made something that had to fit just right and I was nervous about ruining her dress but they turned out great and you can't even tell that they weren't on the dress originally! 

Our family on the big day.  Abbie is 8, Leah is 5, Porter is almost 3, and Olivia is 6 months old.

It's been a crazy month!

The last few months have been a little crazy!  Abbie and Leah started school, Abbie is in 2nd grade and Leah is in Kindergarten. 

The kids got a little restless during the summer and found some creative ways to play and keep busy!

 

Even Olivia was playing games, she became pretty good at disappearing!

Abbie turned 8 years old (and got baptized yesterday, see post above)

 

She got some Lego Friends from Leah and was so excited she screamed with joy and then tackled Leah with a hug.

Last but not least, we bought a house!  That's right, we are finally homeowners!  We have been renting the house we're in (and for the last 13 years have always rented) but we finally found a wonderful house in the right location and will be moving next week!  We're up to our ears in boxes and upheaval but it's been fun to pick out new carpet and do some painting in a few of the bedrooms.  We can't wait to be settled into our new place, if you're ever in the area give us a call and we'll give you a tour!

Olivia's 10 week photo shoot

I finally got around to taking some newborn naked baby photos of Olivia.  My camera is not a very good one and the blanket I used wasn't very big so you can some of the background in the pictures but overall I think they turned out pretty good.  It doesn't hurt that I have the cutest subject in the world to work with.  Isn't she just a doll?
